Proper Steps
- Read "Getting Started" before beginning any exercise
- Support yourself by holding the stationary hand rails. Always step on the lower pedal first, applying enough weight to bring it to its lowest position.
- While still holding onto the stationary hand rails, step up onto the other pedal and bring the pedals to an even or level position.
- Select a hand position at approximately shoulder height.
- Take a shallow 4-6 inch step height. (The average step height of a flight of stairs is only 7 inches)
