Proper Steps

  • Read "Getting Started" before beginning any exercise
  • Hold barbell out in front on your body, hanging against upper thighs
  • grasp the barbell with an overhand grip
  • Pull dumbbells straight up until nearly even with chin
  • Keep arms parallel to floor
  • Keep weights close to body and slowly return to starting position
